Suzanne
Suzanne produces hand-woven textiles for the
home and the body using natural fibres such as local wool, mohair
and alpaca, as well as silk, cotton, hemp and bamboo. Suzanne’s
work ranges from one off originals to small runs that are unique due
to the variation inherent in the hand spinning and dyeing process.
Her love of fibres began at an early age,
learning to knit as a five year-old.Suzanne has a Diploma of
Interior Design from The International Academy of Design &
Technology, Toronto, and worked in that field for a number of years.
She has taken numerous weaving and spinning workshops offered
through KHWS and Ontario Handweavers & Spinners. She is a founding
member of Frontenac Fibre Artists as well as Land O’ Lakes Artisans
Guild.
